Wizard101 Class Rank List

Another day of my writer’s block, so here is my ranking list for the classes of Wizard101. My list will include every class that appears in the late game, so this will include shadow, moon, sun, and star!

11. Moon

  • Not an actual spell class, but something a Wizard can learn
  • Class offer polymorphs that allow the Wizard to become a different identity and class and be able to cast different sets of spells.
  • Not an ideal class to learn from as the gear in the main class most likely will not coincide with the polymorph

10. Myth

  • The basic damage class of Wiz. Their gear is towards damage.
  • Pros of myth are the spells that give myth students a strong edge in solo runs. The amount of minions they are able to conjure up in fights allows them to turn fights into a fair battle.
  • Cons of myth are the fact that this class is so basic and offers nothing much compared to other classes in terms of damage, utility, and sustainability.

9. Shadow

  • Not an actual spell class
  • Shadow spells are extremely late game, but they offer strong damage as long as you satisfy the spell’s requirements during battle.
  • The damage upon yourself when casting can be detrimental during a battle so it’s best to use shadow spells with caution.
  • Shadow-infused class spells are variants with shadow pips, but as I said, that’s a very late game ordeal.

8. Star

  • Not an actual spell class
  • The auras of the star school buffs Wizards over a period of 4 rounds. These buffs can be geared towards resistance, damage, and even vulnerability to a certain class as compensation for strong boosts.
  • These require a turn to cast

7. Sun

  • Not an actual spell class
  • The enchantments offered by the sun school allows Wizards to enchant their spells during the planning phase without risking a turn. This school is the strongest astral school.

6. Storm

  • The critical damage class of Wiz. Their gear, in the late game, provides a lot of damage, but also a lot of critical damage.
  • Pros of storm, of course, is that this class provides the most amount of damage to monsters in the game and are probably one of the most important DPS class for a group run.
  • Cons of storm are the glass cannon personas that this class exhibits. They are very prone to missing their spells due to low accuracy and have no real resistance or sustain to fight in long battles.

5. Fire

  • The raw damage class of Wiz. Their gear provides a lot of damage, just like storm.
  • Pros of fire are that they are able to bypass large resistances from shields and weaknesses through over time damage.
  • Cons are the lack of health and accuracy in their spells.

4. Death

  • The life-steal class of Wiz. Their gear provides useful amounts of damage and incoming healing that prepares them to sustain.
  • Pros of death are that they are able to do a lot of damage while healing simultaneously.
  • Cons are that they do not get their first AOE until way later into the game and that most monster and creatures are death.
  • Death players are most likely edgy if it’s their first class <3

3. Balance

  • The support/buff class of Wiz. Their gear is pretty well rounded as they incorporate almost every aspect of each class.
  • One of the pros is that a lot of their abilities are able to apply general buffs and debuffs to allies and enemies.
  • Cons are the fact that they have no general weakness or boosts against enemies, so they are more prone to doing less damage to enemies due to lack of special elemental boosts.

2. Life

  • The healing class of Wiz. Most of their gear is favoring high health and improved outgoing healing
  • One of the pros is that they have the strongest healing spells in the class.
  • One of the cons is that their damage falls short when fighting enemies and their first AOE spell doesn’t come into the later stages of the game.

1. Ice

  • The tank class of Wiz. Most of their gear is favoring high resistance against every element.
  • One of the pros is that they get a tower shield that grants universal protection during battle
  • One of the cons is their damage output is very weak compared to other classes and requires a lot of patience when fighting bosses and creatures.
  • My favorite class because it’s my first and my main class on Wiz right now!
