Asian American Center

About

The Asian American Center (AAC) at Northeastern University was founded in February of 2005 at 109 Hemenway. The AAC is rooted in values of community, inclusivity, and empowerment. We strive to cultivate a welcoming environment for all members of the Asian American community and for the broader Northeastern community through intentional programming, mentorship, and engagement.

Student leadership is central to everything we do. We believe in empowering students with agency and ownership — this is, truly, their Asian American Center.

Vision Statement
The Asian American Center at Northeastern seeks to establish a dynamic and visible presence for the Asian American community on campus. The AAC plays a vital role in advancing the University’s commitment to belonging and community by supporting students in exploring their social identities and empowering them to shape their Northeastern experience. Through programs, conversations, and community-building efforts, the AAC promotes ongoing dialogue about the richness and complexity of Asian American experiences and how those experiences are lived both within and beyond the University.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Asian American Center is to provide the entire Northeastern community with opportunities to engage in meaningful exploration and conversations about the diverse and multifaceted experiences of Asian Americans.
