Why I Love Instacart

This blog is not sponsored by Instacart. I wish though.

At the beginning of the semester, my friends and I, along with their roommates, agreed to share an Instacart account. If you don’t know what Instacart is, it’s basically this platform where you can order your groceries online and have them delivered to you. You can either download the app or go on the website. It has all the big markets like Hmart, Costco, Target, etc (it doesn’t have Trader Joe’s though..). Personally, I think it’s really fun and convenient to use Instacart and here’s why.

The first most obvious reason is that you don’t have to travel to get your groceries. I know some people out there like shopping in person, and I do too, but I really can’t afford the time to commute to a grocery store, walk around to find the things I need, then commute back home while carrying the items. Instacart is especially convenient when there’s a store you like to shop at but it’s too far.

Another reason why it’s so fun is that it’s basically online shopping. Since the beginning of COVID, more people have been online shopping, and for some people, it has become an addiction. I never fell into this hole, but I definitely understand now why people like it so much. You have so many options to choose from and food is irresistible what can I say.

Finally, this might be just a personal reason, but I really like tracking where the shopper is when they are on their way. I do this for Ubereats too. I will literally have the app open while I’m studying or when I’m in class (oops).

Each step in Instacart has its own excitement and looking through the app has become a hobby of mine. I think until I have my own car and the time to go grocery shopping, I will keep using Instacart.
