With Covid-19, and winter rapidly approaching, staying inside and binge watching shows and movies on Netflix is always a very appealing plan. With so many different options of shows and movies, it can be hard to choose one to watch, and oftentimes, I end up scrolling endlessly through it without really finding anything special. So to try to prevent that, here are the shows that I’ve recently started watching on Netflix which I recommend at least checking out for a couple of minutes.
Money Heist
A “professor” recruits eight people to pull off an amazing heist and collectively they try to match up against the police and the government of Spain. This is a great show with lots of twists and turns, people betraying each other, a fair amount of action, along with amazing storytelling and a great cast. Love Alarm
This was the first ever K-Pop show that I’ve ever seen and it was absolutely amazing. I’ve talked with some of my friends and they didn’t enjoy it as much as I did, but whatever, they’re 100% wrong. The show comes with an interesting concept, an app that alerts you if someone close by is in love with you. With this they go into the classic trope of a rich boy falling for a poor girl and a love triangle situation. That said, I was surprisingly captivated by the acting and I can’t wait for a second season.
Criminal UK
This show focuses on how detectives and agents need to get inside the suspect’s mind in order to figure out how they think, what motivates them, and most importantly, whether or not they’re guilty. The vast majority of each episode takes place in an interrogation room with a different story and a different person being suspected. This results in close to zero action, but an incredibly captivating storytelling.
