ASU x CSA Lunar New Year

This past Saturday was, I would say, the biggest event of the year: Lunar New Year Gala hosted by ASU and CSA. If not the biggest, it was definitely the most formal. The freshmen representatives from both organizations were the MCs for the night and they did a great job. To be honest, I almost couldn’t make it because I had a covid scare, but thankfully I got my negative test back in time. I was a bit sad that I couldn’t help with decorating the ballroom before the actual event.

The event went back and forth from doing activities within each table and watching performances. All the performances were so good, and diverse too. There was singing, dancing, Taekwondo, and lion dance. In the middle, we had a little break and people started taking photos at the photo booth. Everyone seemed to be having a good time.

Meanwhile, my favorite memory was helping pack the food. We were wearing gloves and at some point, I had to use my (gloved) hands to mix the noodles. It was really funny and it felt weird. We also ate some leftover dumplings after finishing packing. There was a ton of leftover for the eboard members to eat after the event :’)

It was nice to see everyone dressed up. This event is my favorite PAAC event by far! I’m excited for next year already.
