Did I get the number of ‘e’s right? I never know. This service has been blowing up recently, especially among Asian students living off-campus.
I fall particularly victim to this service though, but not through my own hands.
There is a second-hand Weee effect that can be observed any time you accompany the user through an H-mart, Maruichi, or Jia Ho. Your shopping trip all of a sudden takes 20 minutes longer and you companion is down 20% in battery?
How did this happen?
Well, I’d attribute it to the insatiable desire to try and compare in-store prices to the wee prices. This is okay for large, infrequent purchases on Amazon for example, but for a whole grocery list? Imagine my despair!
All this said, I do have a message to go out to everyone who is that Weee-price-comparer…
I know it, and you know it. Weee is somehow always going to be cheaper. It defies all logic, but at this point we’ve all just got to accept it.
