A few weeks ago, my friends came back from Boston University exclaiming how good the restaurant there was. They described Victoria’s Seafood as cheap, filling, and delicious. So I had to go and try. In Chinese culture, we like to order big dishes and share them among everyone. I learned that day that the spinning thing that holds our food is called a “lazy susan.”
We were starving and quickly put in an order for ginger and scallion lobsters, minced pork fried rice, black pepper pork chop, soy garlic sea bass, peking duck, soy rice noodles, garlic baby bok choy, and house special fried rice. My friends were very happy with the meal which ended up being around $28 for 8 people (if I remember correctly).
My rating: 8/10
I think this is a good Asian place in Boston to eat with a large group but coming from NY, I don’t see anything too special about it. I’ve tried a lot of these “lazy susan” types of restaurants. They all give satisfying meals but nothing ever screams “this is THE restaurant.” Victoria’s Seafood was good. I just didn’t expect anything more or less.
