Uber Eats

We use Uber Eats when we don’t feel like cooking or if we don’t have time to make food. After all, the food is just a tap away on your phone. But for me, using Uber Eats is a whole chore.

First, you have to choose a place to get takeout from. For an indecisive person like myself, that’s a lot to ask for. How I decide is, I first look at the delivery price. Then, I filter out the places I’ve already ordered from because I like trying new places. And this. Takes so much time. On most days, I just give up looking for a place because I can’t decide. It’s an important life decision, so I wouldn’t want to be hasty.

The next step takes the longest time. It’s a combination of looking through the menu options and scrolling through the food photos section on Yelp. Not to mention, reading the reviews of the restaurant. You may be asking, why does she put in so much effort to order food? Well if you were ordering takeout from Uber Eats where everything is overpriced, would you want to order unsatisfactory food? I think not. Anyways. I choose a food option that sounds interesting and go through Yelp to see if anyone posted a picture of it. If it looks appetizing, I put it in the cart. This step takes around 15-20 minutes. In that amount of time, I could have cooked something already, but you know, it’s nice to treat yourself sometimes. After I’m done choosing what I want to eat, I think for about 2 minutes how much I want to tip the driver…

That is my story with Uber Eats. I hope at least one person can relate to my struggle…
