Tiktok Famous Feta Pasta

Over the past week whenever I was Tiktok, I keep seeing the same pasta recipe popping up on my For You Page. All of them claimed that this recipe was so viral that feta cheese sold out in all the grocery stores in Finland. While I’m not the biggest pasta fan, I was intrigued by this recipe by how easy and quick it is. This recipe only calls for 9 ingredients and most of them you probably already have laying around in your pantry. The ingredients were all easy to find. I personally just went to the Trader Joe’s on Newbury and go all my ingredients there.

Ingredients:

2 pints of cherry tomatoes

8oz block of feta cheese

2 cups of dried pasta (I just used macaroni elbows)

½ cup of olive oil

½ teaspoon of salt

½ teaspoon of black pepper

½ teaspoon of dried oregano

6 whole garlic cloves

¼ cup packed sliced fresh basil

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°F. Place the cherry tomatoes and the whole garlic cloves in an oven safe baking sheet. Pour olive oil on top, and season with salt, pepper, and dried oregano. Toss until well combined.
Place the block of feta cheese in the center of the baking dish surrounded by the cherry tomatoes. Drizzle a bit of olive oil on the feta and season with a bit more salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
Bake for 30 minutes and then turn up the oven to 450 degrees and bake of an additional 5-10 minutes.
In the meantime, prepare pasta and follow package instructions. Cook the pasta in salted water and reserved around 1/3 cup of pasta water before draining.
When done banking, carefully smash the garlic and tomatoes with a fork and mix it with the baked feta.
Add in the cooked pasta and toss until well combined. Garnish with fresh basil.

Like I said before, I’m not the biggest pasta fan but this dish is actually really good, and it deserves all the hype. I would definitely recommend you all to try out this simple and quick recipe!
