Things I did Growing Up!

Growing older is something I dread dearly, but I’ve come to realize it’s inevitable. Nonetheless, this week’s prompt led me down a nostalgic road and remembering what it was like to not have the responsibilities of adulthood.

Favorite things to do growing up:

  1. Playing outside
  2. Riding bikes
  3. Hanging out with my siblings
  4. Playing Minecraft

I was a very active kid growing up, from being involved in sports to banishing myself outside every day after school. During the summers, I always had something to do, whether that was riding bikes, making potions with things I found in bushes and random puddles, and, most importantly, bonding with my siblings. I took it for granted that I had so much time to spend with them at that age. Aside from being outside, I also played video games like Minecraft. At my age now (20), hearing the Minecraft soundtrack never fails to make me miss my childhood and the simplier times of growing up.

Cheers to more growth!

  • Minecraft seems to be a very common experience amongst a lot of you interns! I never played growing up, but my brother loved it (makes sense, since he is your guys’ age!). I think there’s something about the creative world-building that’s really exciting. Thank you for your blog~
