Summer so far has been tiring. I eat sleep and breath the coding assignments for OOD, but that isn’t even what I’m losing sleep over. Rather I can’t sleep because the fire alarm won’t stop. My apartment for the summer faces the inside of the building that I live in, and I can hear every time the alarm goes off in someone’s apartment (since all the windows are open). It will be the middle of the afternoon and I want to take a nap, but right as I’m about to fall asleep, I can hear it from outside my window, someone set off their alarm.
Let me preface by saying that I understand that fire alarms are there for our safety. Recently the alarm in my apartment has become finicky and reacts whenever my roommate cooks (I have yet to set off the alarm). She could be simply frying some potstickers and the alarm goes off. It’s an embarrassing situation since there’s no fire and everyone in the apartments around us can hear me and my roommate trying to make it stop. Someone, please help stop the fire alarm!
