Brunch and Dinner

Last month for my birthday I had brunch with my friends at the pier. We went to Committee which is a Mediterranean-style restaurant. The brunch was a complete surprise as my roommate made the plans and reservations without telling me. At brunch, I ordered a Spanakopita grilled cheese. To be very honest, I had no clue about what to order because it was my first time there and I had to almost google all the menu items. The dish came with spinach, feta, kasseri, and Kalamata olive loaf served with tomato soup. And my friends ordered french toast with a side of fruit, cream, and syrup. And we had calamari as an appetizer. The place was very pretty and they added a candle in my grilled cheese which was very cute. I really recommend it for brunch as it is located in a very pretty area and the food was really yummy.

After the brunch at 11 AM, I made sure not to eat again until dinner which was at 8 PM. This was because dinner was going to be at an all-you-can-eat spot. I had dinner at Fogo De Chao, which is located near Prudential in the Westin Hotel. Fogo De Chao was a Brazilian Steakhouse, with all its items served all you can eat. It was my first time going and everything there was very unexpected. As an appetizer, they had self-serve prosciutto and other cold-cut meats and cheeses. Along with a self-serve salad bar, soup bar, and rice. The way that the meats were served was that the waiters would come with a stick of roasted meat and they cut the amount that you want onto your plate. As an appetizer, I ordered cheese balls and mashed potatoes which were very good too.

That day, the food I had made my day and I am very grateful for the people there who came to celebrate with me.
