This week has been a tough one for me with workload and life in general. I’ve constantly had a pit in my stomach from feeling overwhelmed and a little angsty. I knew I needed to take a breather after doing my work- something I never did last semester (especially if it was aweeknight). But, for the sake of my mental health, a friend and I have taken long walks every night of this week to clear our thoughts and find a sense of clarity again. Because of this, I’ve discovered some great places around Boston to walk to if you ever need a breather:
Charles River Esplanade (especially now!)
In case of you haven’t seen yet, the Charles River is practically frozen over. This calls for some adventuring on the ice (at your own risk). If you don’t feel like risking your life, the view from here is also incredible since it looks like there was never a river to begin with. It simply looks like a huge patch of land bridging Boston and Cambridge together. We walked here and sat on the docks one night and it was extremely therapeutic to watch the skyline and walk across the ice.
Boston Public Garden & Boston Commons
The huge body of water here is also frozen over too and it’s awesome to walk and skate on. It’s super pretty with the surrounding buildings and park and a fun place to have a snowball fight.

Thanks for your write-up. Another thing is that being a photographer entails not only problem in taking award-winning photographs but hardships in acquiring the best digicam suited to your requirements and most especially situations in maintaining the caliber of your camera. This is certainly very real and apparent for those professional photographers that are straight into capturing a nature’s engaging scenes : the mountains, the actual forests, the wild and the seas. Going to these exciting places undoubtedly requires a camera that can surpass the wild’s unpleasant environments.
