I was never interested in books when I was younger. They were just very long black-and-white texts in the form of several hundred paragraphs. I understood that books wasn’t for everyone and I was fine without reading any books. However, I recently decided to start reading books in order to improve upon myself. I began with Atomic Habits (self-help genre), and learned about how building habits begin with small (atomic) steps. Thus, I began reading 1-2 chapters of a book everyday and was surprised by my progress. I noticed that I’ve read 3 books within 2 months and realized that if I keep this consistent habit, I could read more than 12 books every year. In the end, I still continue to keep this habit of reading everyday and can proudly say that reading is a hobby of mine.
