Reunion

With the conclusion of my first year in college, my friends and I planned a reunion party. To start, we decided to watch the new Marvel movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, at the AMC theaters located in Boston. This has become a tradition as my friends, and I are all huge Marvel fanatics and agreed that we would watch every new release together. To no surprise, excitement ran through our spines after we finished the two-hour movie that felt like thirty minutes.

Although it felt like thirty minutes, it was still a two-hour movie, so we were hungry. Luckily, Boston has plenty of restaurants to choose from. Since we all had a craving for hot pot, we headed to Happy Lamb or 快乐小样. Happy Lamb is known for having an assortment of broths and various premium meats to choose from. The broth that we decided was “the best of both worlds,” which is half portions of two broths for one pot with both spicy and non-spicy. Our order consisted of seven plates of meats, three plates of bean curd, one plate of napa cabbage, one plate of mini sausages, and one plate of fish, frozen, and fried tofu. I have never been disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The food lives up to its reviews, tastes terrific, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has little hot pot experience or is looking to try something new in Boston. Including myself, there were a total of six people, and the cost ended up being around 50$ for each person.

Overall, this reunion was quite successful as my friends and I had plenty of time to catch up, and we all left with a filled stomach. I look forward to spending more time hanging out with friends this summer!
