This past Sunday, Boston was extremely hot so my friends and I decided to go to the beach and enjoy the weather! We decided to go to Carson beach, which is about a 40 minute commute using either the bus or T, or a 15 minute Uber ride.

Once we got to the beach, there were so many people. There were a bunch of sand volleyball courts set up, and there were towels and umbrellas as far as the eye could see. We were able to find an empty spot to put our towels down and lay in the sun. After a bit of snacking and putting on sunscreen, we decided to jump into the water. It was really refreshing and fun to play around in the water. There were also so many dogs playing in the sand and in the water, which was cute to watch.

After a couple of hours, it started raining and most people started leaving, which is completely understandable; however, my friends decided to just get back into the water. It stopped raining after a couple minutes, and the sun came back out, so we were able to resume our sunny beach day like nothing happened. Until it started thundering and raining again, except this time it was coming down really, really hard. My group of friends quickly packed up our stuff and ran for shelter. The rain stopped after a bit and my friends and I were completely drenched.

We then made our way back to campus. We were so sure that it rained there as well, but when we stepped out of the Uber and onto Centennial it was completely sunny with no puddle in sight. We all laughed about our day, ate at Steast, and went back to studying. It was a pretty fun beach day 🙂
