New Year, New Intern

Howdy, y’all! After years of watching AAC Interns diligently work their shifts for hours on end, I have finally become one and have joined their ranks. Although it is quite unfortunate that this semester also must be virtual, I’m still looking forward to enjoying my newfound powers as an AAC Intern, namely being able to flex that I’m an AAC Intern. That’s about it, but you can bet your life that I’ll be abusing that.

“Hey, Anthony, what are ya working on?”

“Oh, I’m just writing up some blog posts.”

“Ah, cool. Want to ge—”

“AS AN AAC INTERN!”

“…”

Other than interrupting people to flex that I’m an AAC Intern, what else about being an intern am I looking forward to? Mainly hoping that I can help improve the experience of my underclassmen through their undergrad career. Whether that be through hosting virtual events or these blog posts is still to be seen. Although the goal of college is to receive an education and eventually a degree, there’s no reason that one shouldn’t do their best to enjoy their time here as well. The years in college are the most unique in that there is so much access to peers and activities in such a small area, and I would hope y’all do your best to enjoy that as much as you can while you can.
