My September Recap

Wow. I can’t believe September is already over. It has been an extremely stressful and tough month for me, primarily because of my co-op search. I feel like there is a certain rush when it comes to searching for a co-op in the fall, due to past students not being able to land a co-op, the job market being in the dumps, and the short amount of time for co-op searching as opposed to searching in the spring. I’m definitely scared that I won’t land a co-op but I’m also worried if I am doing something wrong in my process. I have been getting a lot more interviews than I did last year with a subpar resume, but I also haven’t found a co-op I wanted with an offer. Waiting for a company’s feedback, especially with your dream company and role, is extremely grueling and anxiety-inducing. Searching for co-op is detrimental to both my mental and physical health although I am doing a little better in the physical health area than last year (I lost 10 pounds). I hope and pray that I will be able to land a co-op I will like and have something to look forward to in the next year. Good luck to other co-op searchers!
