Minecraft

Ever since the pandemic hit, people have been striving for things to use in place of meeting in person. One key factor to keeping people mentally and socially sane was that of a video game called Minecraft. It is essentially a pixelated fictional creation/survival game. But in a way the pandemic has allowed us to embrace our inner child as we couldn’t go out into our somewhat “adult/responsible” livelihoods. So some did what seemed to be the obvious solution: connect with others through a video game and simulate what how they would still act to one another but only virtually this time with more creativity in real games.

As the pandemic seems to be coming to a close, we have to understand the benefits such games have towards our mental health. They enable one another to connect even in the most difficult times.
