On Lunar New Year, like most other Asian families, my family gathers and the adults cook where the kids get to eat and play. One thing that I specifically look forward to on Lunar New Year is this TV channel where they broadcast live performances from China. I haven’t watched it in many years but I remember that they would have singing and dancing performances. As well as, plays, skits, and stand up comedy. My favorite performance was the magic show. I remember being really impressed because when I was young I was really gullible and thought that all of the tricks were real. Another one of my favorite performances was during the countdown to the new year when the channel would broadcast the live fireworks show. This year, I look forward to spending time with my family and maybe watching the show together.
