As a kid, I looked forward to Lunar New Years because my family would cook delicious dinners and gather together to watch 春晚, an annual live performance. I loved this time of the year because adults would give me money left and right. I also remember running around with large group of friends playing firecrackers and small fireworks. During this time of the year, you can always hear the sound of rumbling MaJong, gossiping aunts, and exploding firecrackers.
