My family will usually have a big dinner with some family friends and then also hand out red envelopes, which is my favorite part! Lately, the red envelopes have been less traditional as my parents will sometimes just Zelle me instead of providing the cash in the envelope. Lunar New Year is one of my favorite holidays and it is also one of the main holidays that my family celebrates! It is always a little bittersweet though as none of my extended family is in the US so we have to call them on WeChat to wish them a Happy New Year.
