Growing up, my favorite holiday has always been Christmas. My favorite family tradition is spending Christmas together. My family doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary, but we usually we have nochebuena, where we spend Christmas Eve together, eat some food and wait until midnight to either attend Christmas mass or open presents. We have this with either a big lechon or a large ham. This is paired with other dishes or filipino desserts like lumpia or leche flan. Then we do other things like gossip, sing karaoke, play with the kids, drink, and then the next day we eat our leftovers and do some sort of daytime activity.
