As I am writing this blog post, I am currently packing up my dorm, preparing to leave to go back home. It’s crazy to think that my first year is already over and that I am soon to be a sophomore. I have become so used to Boston over the past months that I think that I will also have to adjust to living back at home again. After meeting a lot of new people, it would also be fun to catch up with everyone else.
This summer will also be different compared to last year. For one, most of my family are now fully vaccinated. The CDC also stated yesterday that there will be less restrictions for those who have received both of their doses. Although this is true, I think I am still a bit wary of not wearing a mask in public; it has become something that I am accustomed to, and I feel incomplete without it in public. Slowly though, I hope that maybe I could enjoy the feeling of dining out again – I rarely dined out the last year, and I have forgotten the feeling of it.
My parents have been talking about travelling. Albeit we cannot travel to other countries; we would still want to make use of our time and visit other states. Last summer, we were all at home, too scared to go out but now that there are vaccines, we hope to see visit some new places. On the other hand, there is still work left to be done. I signed up to take summer classes, and although some of the classes were remote this semester, I was still on campus. It would be interesting to see how I will function in a fully remote environment. Although it is now summer, it doesn’t feel like it. There are still so many things to be done, and I am excited for everything.
