In Shock

This past summer, I interned at a company near my house. I had the pleasure of being trained under the recruiting manager, who was always super enthusiastic and down-to-earth. I also had an amazing time working with her and the rest of the team throughout the summer as I formed really strong work-setting relationships with all of them. So, at the end of the summer, I made the decision to continue working for the company during the school year. However, this past Wednesday, when I signed onto Teams for my shift, I was shocked when I saw that the recruiting manager who always seemed so dedicated and put all her energy into the company (worked from like 7am-10pm everyday) had left. This definitely made me very upset. Work Wednesday and I bet for the rest of the time I’m here at the company, it is not going to be the same. But, it also made me aware and reminded me that at the end of the day, people go down different paths based on what is best for them.
