Yesterday, I went to my first ASU general meeting, which I learned about through their Instagram. The meeting started with lots of general information about current programs going on and upcoming events. The meeting continued into a board member talking about how various Asian cultures celebrate their version of New Year’s and included personal photos, memories, and traditions. We continued into various activities. Some of the ones I observed were paper lantern making and a Kahoot about the information we just learned. I mainly played a game where you stack a cup, a red envelope, and another cup. The goal of the game is to slide the envelope out and allow the top cup to fall on the below cup. I was able to win my first two tries and then continuously lost after. Overall, I really enjoyed going to the meeting! I wanted to learn more about the organizations under the ASU, and I feel like they comprehensively went over ways to get more involved.
