Have you ever been so overwhelmed/excited for something to happen that you end up getting the date of it entirely wrong? Well, that just happened to me. I received an email from a potential coop on Monday saying that I had moved on to the next rounds of interviews. In my excitement, I read through the email and saw the word Wednesday. Immediately I thought it meant today, only two days after I received the email. I spent the past two days feeling nervous and excited. Preparing answers and even talking to my coop advisor about it. Then today as I was rereading the email because I wanted to see if I could find my interviewers on LinkedIn, I found that after the word “Wednesday”, it said 3/22/23.
Today is the 15th, meaning my interview is next week. I feel a little dumb at the moment, but now I have a whole other week to continue to prepare. May this be a lesson to my future self and others, always read through the entire email. You never know when you might miss an important detail, like the correct date of your interview.
