I always liked surprising my friends with small things here and there. I find it boring to just hand the gift to them though. I’m not going to share all my ideas 🤫 but here’s what I did recently.
Context
Last semester, a friend and I saw a branch shaped like a wishbone. They say if you pull on it with someone else, whoever gets the longer piece, gets his/her wish. When we pulled, it spilt directly in the middle. We joked and stated that we both get our wishes. During the summer, I was shopping & saw a wishbone necklace. It reminded me of my friend so I bought two bc I hope we both get our wishes yk 😉 I could either hand it to her or made her work for it heh.
Delivery
I ended up editing the video from last semester, adding cute notes. After, I made an animated Canva design that asked her to make a wish & interact to find out more. I turned the video into a QR code and pasted it onto a google doc named “vivian’s resume” 😋 you can prob predict that I asked her to review my resume…
Now here’s where the actual necklace comes into play. At the end of the Canva design, I designed a riddle (practicing for husky haunt yk) bc I want her to find her wish (both figuratively and literally):
long story short, she found it in the twister game in her living room 😙
I can’t wait to do more like these…
