Celebrating Lunar New Year Around Boston

Hello everybody and welcome back to my blog. If you didn’t already know, the lunar new year is fast approaching on the 22nd of January. In Chinese culture, 2023 will be the year of the rabbit, but for those who follow the Vietnamese zodiac, it will be the year of the cat. Since my family lives pretty close to Boston, I will be heading home to eat with them. For those who are looking to engage in activities around Boston, there are plenty of festivals throughout Boston. The Boston Chinese New Year Parade will take place in Chinatown, more specifically, starting at Phillips Square. This event on January 29th runs from 10 am to 3 pm There’s also the Chinese New Year Cultural Village that will take place at the corner of Boylston and Washington Streets on the same day as the parade. Of course, there are also a plethora of Chinese restaurants to celebrate the new year, just make sure you have red envelopes on hand!
