Before I started playing volleyball, I was doing competitive swimming for almost 10 years. Due to covid-19, I had to end my swimming career as I wanted to prioritize other aspects in my life. However, I felt like there was a part of me that was missing from quitting the sport. So, I started to play more volleyball at the Marino Recreation Center in order to fill in that gap. They have a set schedule for open volleyball and it’s really a fun experience to play the sport that’s completely casual and meet others who share the same interest. I would recommend anyone who wants to try a new sport to come to open volleyball!
