Homesick

Since it was so hot this weekend, my hometown friends and I decided to visit Chinatown. The choice was made on the spur of the moment, but it was well worth it. Because of the pandemic and the fact that I am now in college, it has been roughly a year and a half since I last saw them.

They were overjoyed to see me when I picked them up at South Station, and I was thrilled to see them again. They even got me a Banh Mi from my neighborhood Vietnamese shop. I was about to burst out crying with delight and homesickness.

Since this could be their final trip to Boston for a time, I took them to a lot of wonderful locations in Chinatown. I also took them to Newbury St. to walk around and shop, and we ended up eating at Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, which I rate a 3/5. I could feel my hair and feet burning off as we waited in line for Hokkaido. There was an abnormally warm period, although the weather forecast claimed it was 75 degrees… Liars!!!
