Hi, this is Amanda. My favorite thing to do growing up was playing games with my sisters! This included playing Pokemon on the Game Boy, playing various games on the GameCube, playing desktop games like Fireboy & Watergirl, playing Mario and Zelda games on the Nintendo DS and Wii! I really enjoyed the different aspects of video games like the stories, visuals, soundtracks, and obviously, playing the games themselves. But, I also just really liked spending time with my sisters! Nowadays, I don’t really play games anymore but there’s still a few I’ll pick up if I have the time (e.g. Animal Crossing, Sims 4…)

OMG Mario was my favorite game growing up for sure. I got a Switch recently and got only Animal Crossing and Mario… but I’m kind of bored of Animal Crossing. You should talk to this Professor at NEU named Alexandra To – she’s a Queer Asian American scholar here whose research is on the intersection of games and race/ethnicity. Super cool!
