Weekend Recap!

This past three day weekend has been a godsend as I felt like I hadn’t had a moment to breathe since the beginning of this semester. My weekends always start a little early as I don’t have classes on Fridays so on Thursday night, my friends and I had hotpot at home! Though we had to have it at 11pm due to other’s wonky co-op work hours, it was fun to have this ~gourmet midnight meal~. I wish that I could be like the silken tofu and just soak up all the yummy soup in the pot but alas, I am a silly human with silly human responsibilities.

On Saturday night, I went to an ASU Dance workshop and learned the choreography to “Dalla Dalla” by ITZY. I’ve really come to enjoy these dance workshops because the energy in the room is always very welcoming to beginners and everyone is genuinely very supportive of each other. Immediately following the workshop, my roommates and I decided to have a spontaneous Barbie movie marathon and we watched Swan Lake and 12 Dancing Princesses. I felt a small piece of my childhood awaken while watching these masterpieces but it was definitely hilarious watching these again as an adult.

On the following day, I went to the first TASA meeting of the semester and we made tangyuan from scratch! I’ve always been interested in the Taiwanese culture club, as I am Taiwanese, and am excited to see how this club will develop in the future!

As I am writing this blog post, my body still feels sore from last night’s events as my friends and I went outside for some spontaneous volleyball/soccer/frisbee fun. I hadn’t played these sports since high school so it felt nice to get back into it again.

Whew, this weekend was definitely not how I imagined I would be spending it but I’m glad I was able to get out of the dorm and let my brain forget about academic and co-op search stressors. Good luck to everyone on midterms/co-op work this week and remember to take care of yourself!
