Turn Your Swag On

Spring break sprang and now I’m back where I was, in the trenches of homework and job searching. Every morning, I think about the person who said to “turn your swag on” when you finally leave the comfort of your warm covers and make the trudge to the bathroom. It’s like a little motivation for me in the morning. At the very least, it prepares me to face the harsh reality that I can no longer snooze my alarm for the sixth time.

What do I do in times of fighting battles in the trenches? Let me regale you. I take every opportunity that my roommates aren’t home to blast my karaoke music and belt my heart out until my voice grows hoarse. It’s quite cathartic! However, if the roommates don’t touch grass, then it’s time for me to leave the apartment. In the past year, I’ve enjoyed running around a few spots in Boston such as the Emerald Necklace Loop, the Charles, and the track in the Fens. Of course, I had to resort to the indoor track at Marino when the weather gets too horrendous, but as long as I’m not on a treadmill, I’m content.

Nevertheless, I am feeling hopeful! The end is nigh and I can’t believe my last semester is flying by!!! If someone made a cocktail of the circus in my head, I would say it’s currently two shots of yolo, three dashes of senioritis (aged for four years), an egg wash foam of delusion, and a bittersweet lemon on top. Yum.

P.S. it’s loopy hours, hope you had fun reading my honest thoughts of the moment hehe
