Over this semester, I have had the opportunity to bake various desserts. The recipes include chocolate chip cookies, orange cranberry cookies, lime cheesecake, focaccia, banana bread, zucchini bread, pan dulce, and brownies. I also made banana pudding and horchata. Many of the bakes I have made turned out well, but the orange cranberry cookies were a flop. The cookies were gloopy, so the next time I make the cookies-I should use less orange juice. I should use less orange juice. The zucchini bread was a surprise, as I thought it would not taste good. However, the vegetable taste disappeared after baking and putting a lemon glaze on top. My favorite bake was the banana bread because I used the bananas I took from the dining halls. I hope to continue baking in my free time during the semester and test new recipes.
