Do you like spicy food? For me, this question often leads to my friends ordering separate appetizers for the table. It’s quite odd a burning and sometimes uncomfortable sensation in one’s mouth is pleasurable for most people. It is almost like nature is warning us not to eat it, yet we do it anyways. At least for me, eating spice is almost a challenge and I can get pretty competitive about it. During Winter Break, I went into a store that specializes in hot sauces and offered samplers of those featured on the show, Hot Ones. The samples ranged from tobacco to over a million Scoville’s. Of course, I tried the hottest sauce, but it felt like just a tingle for me. I might have a problem.
