Some Places to Eat

Although I recommend trying to save money by learning to shop for groceries, meal prep and plan, and cook your own food, much to my own detriment, I also love eating out. Whether I’m craving a taste of home like dumplings, or something enthic like Indian food, or in the mood to try something new, it’s always great having plenty of options to choose from. So here are some of the recent restaurants that I’ve eaten at.

Hokkaido Santouka Ramen

Absolutely love this place for their ramen. Since I’m vegetarian, I can only get the vegetarian ramen which is the best I’ve had. They also have additional ways to customize your personal ramen, starting with toppings. They can add Bara Toro Cha-Syu, which is pork belly, Yakumi, which is dried seaweed, Aji-tama, which is a soft boiled egg, and corn and butter. You can also request for the noodles or their broth to change to your liking as well.

Mumbai Spice

This was one of those times when I was in the mood to try something new and decided upon Mumbai Spice, an indian restaurant close by campus. We went there during Covid-19 lockdown and I was quite surprised. They had an insane amount of choices of entrees and it was difficult to decide. Personally, I loved their Matar Paneer and their Malai Kofta, along with their various naans. I recommend checking this place out for anyone interested in eating Indian food.

Sunrise

If you’re leaving a party early or studying late into the night, and are dying of a lack of food, then this is the place for you. Sunrise is a cheap chinese restaurant that stays open until 2 or 3 in the morning. It’s a small run-down looking place right on the edge of campus with an insane amount of food options, and somehow they ensure that the food comes quick almost suspiciously quick. To be honest, I have zero memory of what I’ve eaten or ordered at this place, all I know is that it was tasty, I think. Anyways, check this place out for yourself at least once.
