Hi everyone, my name is Huiyun and I’m a fourth year (yikers the old age is hitting me) from Middletown, Connecticut. My major is cell and molecular biology with a minor in data science.
My summer was extremely busy but one of the highlights was going to New Hampshire to hike the White Mountains with one of my friends in late August. I really needed the nature break after all the chaos and the views were absolutely gorgeous! One of the hikes took us 9 hours and my ankles were so sore afterwards, but it was still worth it. I want to go back in the fall after the leaves have changed colors.
I applied to be an AAC intern because I have found so many people in the Asian-American community here that I’ve come to really enjoy hanging out with and appreciate. Working as an AAC intern is a way for me to stay in touch with them and help support the community. Even though I’m getting old, there’s always more people to meet and learn from.
