I decided to wake up early to go to Gondres Bakery. The location was near a stop and shop and very close to the metro station that I got off at. The prices at the shop are very reasonable, with cakes being around 3-6 dollars and empanadas priced at 1.50 dollars. I decided to get the chicken and ham/cheese empanadas as well as tres leches cake. All three were delicious even after being in the bag for an hour due to a quick stop for groceries. I would highly recommend this bakery if you get the chance as it is near Jackson Square with the low prices. Moreover, they have many more dishes like arepas, carrot cake, and other Mexican sweet drinks.
