Quality Time

How was everyone’s spring break? Mine was quite eventful, but relaxing. Definitely well-needed, if anything. Even though I live really close to campus, it was still great to spend time with my family and actually live at home again for a week without having to worry about school. Not to mention it was such a beautiful day on Friday! I can’t wait for that weather to come back again.

My last day of break was one of the most memorable for me. My family and I decided to dedicate the day to just ourselves—we woke up bright and early to grab dim sum at China Pearl in Quincy to celebrate my parents’ belated anniversary, and after that my mom, younger sister and I went on a little shopping spree. My sister and I were really craving chicken (which, if you know me, is very on brand), and after a little bit of negotiating with my parents we got my dad to drive us to Vivis to get some of their popcorn chicken and fries. By this point it was already evening and we decided to eat at home while watching a movie. Overall, it was so great to bond with my family again. Hour-long Facetime calls do help when I’m away, but nothing beats the real thing.
