I researched a little spot on yelp called “Clayroom” on Beacon Hill. It is a medium-sized spot filled with people painting little pieces of pottery. When you come in, you are greeted by a friendly but interesting man named Doug who speeds through the instructions of how to paint and then leaves you alone to do so. On the shelves, there is an array of different pieces of pottery to pick from ranging from 5$-50$. As well as around 35 different tubes of paint and many brushes. There is no time limit for the space so, each visit I stay for around 3-4 hours. I would leave my pieces at the pottery barn and pick it up within the week. So far I have been there twice and it has become one of my favorite places in Boston. Painting pottery and creating something personal and meaningful to me has been one of the best ways for me to destress from school and focus on a task. I highly recommend this place and if there is another pottery barn, I really want to visit it as well.
