Out with the co-op, in with the classes

Following the sweet but short reprieve that accompanied the end of my co-op, summer classes have commenced in full swing and I am struggling to adjust. So far, they haven’t thrown too much work at me, but it’s true what people say when they insist that co-op spoils you; I’m not used to having work to do after hours anymore and I’m already behind on a lot of assignments. It’s almost 3AM and here I am choosing to write this blog instead of finishing my biochemistry or advanced writing work. A goal that I set for myself every semester is to cease procrastinating at every available chance that I get. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem like its off to a good start so far. Oh well.

Other than that, I’m genuinely grateful for all the friendships I’ve been able to form over the summer, and wanted to thank you for making my second year at NEU so much better than my first. This last week in particular has been filled with a lot of emotions for me, some of gratitude and happiness but also some of pain and sadness. Whatever, if you know me and are reading this, thank you for being amazing and incredible and just for being yourself. This semester, I’m looking forward to forging more friendships and maintaining the ones I have. Additionally, another goal I have is to remedy my atrocious sleeping schedule. This is something I’ve been working on for a long time without much progress. I’m going to be honest and say that I haven’t been the best at taking care of my health lately. But hey, I’m recognizing more and more the impact that this is having on my life and I think that’s the most important first step. Peace out homies.
