New Space, New Era

This last Saturday, my roommates and I moved out of our beloved White Hall dorm that we’ve been living in for the last two semesters, into an apartment on Huntington.

It was really bittersweet to have to leave our room full of so many memories, but one look at the open space of our economy triple apartment, our very own bathroom, and the sunny kitchen window with a perfect view of Krentzman and the Green Line– and I immediately became attached to our new place. From our tiny, crowded room to such an open space, I honestly have no idea what to do with all of it!

Sadly, I’ll only be living here for the next five or six weeks for the summer half-semester. Five weeks sounds like a very short amount of time, barely enough to get settled and really get things done. But from what I’ve learned from the last few semesters is that despite the fact that something will come to an end, I should really take the time to make the most of it that I can, rather than just waiting it out. I’ve previously regretted not taking that time and fully enjoying every moment, so I’m set on making every day during summer count.

Thus, these past few days, I’ve been spending a lot of time decorating, perfecting my desk set-up, putting things into the kitchen cabinets. I think it’ll be worth it, even when I have to move back out so soon. It’s going to be a good few weeks!
