With this semester finally coming to an end, I’m sure all of us are excited for this well-deserved break. Unlike previous winter breaks, this year’s break is one week longer, which means that we’re given more time to rest and do things that we enjoy. I’ve compiled a list of tasks I want to complete during the break before the start of the spring semester. This list includes my hobbies but also some school-related tasks that will help me prepare for the upcoming semester.
- Rest and forget about school
- Catch up with shows
- Spend quality time with family and loved ones
- Help out with chores around the house
- Cook more
- Do more research on plant care
- Buy more plants
- Play some video games
- Build my first custom mechanical keyboard
- Finish reading the book I’ve been reading
- Organize my notes from this semester
- Create a schedule sheet for my classes in the spring semester
- Read through my syllabi and upload important dates on Notion
- Organize my Notion
- Create a list of organic chemistry mechanisms I learned this semester to prepare myself for organic chemistry 2
- Start learning the top 200 drugs to prepare myself for my Intro to Pharmacy Practice class
- Start research for co-ops
- Create a list of co-ops I would like to apply to
- Set goals for myself for the new semester/new year
- Catch up with old friends and stay connected to new friends
I hope this can inspire you to create your own list and help you decide how you want to spend this long and well-deserved break. If lists aren’t your thing, that’s fine! You decide how you want to spend your time this break in your own way! I wish you all the best on your finals and a happy holiday. See you all in the new year!
