My Winter Break Checklist

With this semester finally coming to an end, I’m sure all of us are excited for this well-deserved break. Unlike previous winter breaks, this year’s break is one week longer, which means that we’re given more time to rest and do things that we enjoy. I’ve compiled a list of tasks I want to complete during the break before the start of the spring semester. This list includes my hobbies but also some school-related tasks that will help me prepare for the upcoming semester.

  1. Rest and forget about school
  2. Catch up with shows
  3. Spend quality time with family and loved ones
  4. Help out with chores around the house
  5. Cook more
  6. Do more research on plant care
  7. Buy more plants
  8. Play some video games
  9. Build my first custom mechanical keyboard
  10. Finish reading the book I’ve been reading
  11. Organize my notes from this semester
  12. Create a schedule sheet for my classes in the spring semester
  13. Read through my syllabi and upload important dates on Notion
  14. Organize my Notion
  15. Create a list of organic chemistry mechanisms I learned this semester to prepare myself for organic chemistry 2
  16. Start learning the top 200 drugs to prepare myself for my Intro to Pharmacy Practice class
  17. Start research for co-ops
  18. Create a list of co-ops I would like to apply to
  19. Set goals for myself for the new semester/new year
  20. Catch up with old friends and stay connected to new friends

I hope this can inspire you to create your own list and help you decide how you want to spend this long and well-deserved break. If lists aren’t your thing, that’s fine! You decide how you want to spend your time this break in your own way! I wish you all the best on your finals and a happy holiday. See you all in the new year!
