Kevin’s Weekly Review Corner #7

I had the opportunity to attend an Escape Room event hosted by Northeastern. The location was at Trapology and we did “The Institute” game. I will not spoil the contents of the game, but I will go over my thoughts of the experience. First of all, getting into the rooms was interesting as I had thought I walked into the wrong building. Fortunately after looking closer at the signs I understood that I was supposed to call a number after my party members arrived. The staff were very friendly and helpful both in and out of the game as they help provide hints if we are stuck. I was totally expecting to not finish the escape room in time, however, my team members were able to swiftly solve the puzzles which I had not even taken a look at. It was mostly me looking at all of the objects while the rest of the party did various logic puzzles. Overall, it was very fun as we were able to finish in about 32 minutes. The key thing I would like to bring up is that it was very different from my time at Boda Borg, adjacent to the Escape Room genre. Thus, trying out both types is a must!
