Hello everyone, my name is Alara 🙂
I’m a rising sophomore majoring in Industrial Engineering. I’m from Turkey/Turkiye and have lived there up until I started college, so, for me everything I do here is an opportunity to obtain new experiences. I’m taking Calculus 3 and Differential Equations and Linear Algebra at the same time this summer semester… so I’m very much buried in coursework. AAC has been amazing because of this reason: it helps me get my mind off of all the work I have, and I get to take a breath and carefully focus on what I need to do in such a welcoming warm environment!

Hi Alara! Welcome to the AAC! We are so happy to have you. I am especially excited to welcome you to the Center because of your West Asian background and Turkish identity. I’m so excited to get to know you more in the next couple of weeks! I’m glad to hear that you’ve enjoyed your time here thus far, and I hope you feel empowered to come back and engage with us after your internship time is up.
