Introduction

Hello! My name is Emma and I’m a rising fifth-year double-majoring in Psychology and Studio Art with a minor in Film and International Cultures. I’m from Greece and am very excited to be going home after Summer 1! I love traveling so would like to forge a career path that enables me to do that as much as possible. Something peculiar about me is that not once during a month of taking flute lessons was I able to make a sound with the instrument; my teacher eventually told me the flute wasn’t for me. My Spring semester was both super fun and a little sad because a couple of my closest friends just graduated, so we tried our best to make the most of their last semester. It reminded me to enjoy campus life and take advantage of on-campus opportunities while I still can, which is how I’ve ended up at the AAC! I’m happy to be here 🙂

  • Hi Emma! Welcome to the AAC! We are so happy to have you. I’m glad that you took advantage of the opportunity to engage with us – I’m really looking forward to getting to know you more in the next couple of weeks. I’m especially excited to hear more about your Greek background!

That is a pretty funny story about the flute, not one I’ve heard before 😀 I hope that didn’t discourage you from trying any other instruments, though. And I hear you on the bittersweet nature of college transitions! It’s really tough, especially at a school like Northeastern where we’re constantly moving on and off campus, to say goodbye to a close friend. I hope you’re able to stay in touch though, and rediscover some of yourself with this opportunity!
