My passion for sustainability and environmental preservation has found a meaningful outlet in an initiative I’m deeply involved in—GenCo, short for Generation Consciousness. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to not just talk about change, but to be the change we wish to see in the world.
At GenCo, we are pioneering the introduction of dissolvable laundry detergent sheets on campus. This innovative product is a game-changer in reducing plastic waste and eliminating the environmental damage caused by traditional laundry detergents. The sheets dissolve completely, leaving no residue and significantly lowering our carbon footprint.
But why laundry sheets, you might wonder? The answer lies in the everyday. Laundry is a routine part of life for everyone on campus, and by swapping out liquid detergents in bulky, hard-to-recycle plastic jugs for these lightweight, eco-friendly sheets, we can make a substantial impact. It’s a simple change that speaks volumes about our dedication to sustainability.
Our vision with GenCo extends beyond just introducing sustainable products; it’s about fostering a culture of environmental consciousness among students and staff.
