If I Had Unlimited Resources for the AAC

If I had unlimited resources to provide for the AAC, I would host any type of social event with food! I realize that we have had many enjoyable events with this format – where there is some sort of crafting portion of the event like painting or making bracelets, and then catering on the side and some form of entertainment like dancing or singing. I think the way we have run events is ideal. However, if we had unlimited resources, I would want to max it out. Maybe we can have food from all different cultures, and have a full buffet. We can also bring in guests so we can have friends of other cultures and ethnicities to experience these events. We could even have a special DJ in the back, playing music with a lot of Asian artists, but of course not exclusively Asian artists. Maybe we can even bring in big Asian artists.

For food, we could have it with dim sum style foods maybe like sesame balls, dumplings, fried rice, or other dishes. We could do something like a boba bar and customize your own drink. It could also be some sort of gala, and we could host it in a super fancy venue, maybe something like the BPL or any place known for Asian architecture, and if we don’t have our own fancy clothes or cultural wear, we would have plenty to provide. Then I would want to provide a crafty aspect, maybe you can customize your own lanterns, create decorations, make fancy beaded bracelets or paint glasses. I think food always helps bring a community together, and any type of events with personalization and crafting or games can help people socialize! Alternatively, if we really had unlimited resources, I might think of doing an all expenses paid backpacking trip to different Asian countries like Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, etc.
