Fun Fact

The summer before my first semester at Northeastern, I was told all about how I should attend all my classes no matter what and how 8 am’s are terrible. They would say, “Study your notes every day after class so you can get an A!” The things they will never tell you about are how to make sufficient small talk and how to answer the dreadful icebreaker: “Tell us one fun fact about yourself.”

I am not living a fun-fact type of life. I stick to routines. I live my life by the book, so when anything that is worthy of becoming a fun fact comes around, I find myself turning it down so as to not deter from my routine that I spent the last 3 years perfecting. No one teaches you in your high school career to prepare for the inevitable fun fact. They will not tell you to go out with your friends and do that one spontaneous, insane thing that will end up being one of the best memories of your life and a story to tell for years coming. Maybe in my college career, I can create a fun fact for myself.
